Ms. Huetter has been a resident of New Canaan since 2014. Prior to moving to New Canaan, she lived in Tokyo, New York City and London. She has two children currently attending the New Canaan Public Schools.

She graduated from Wellesley College with a dual degree in Political Science and Economics. After graduating, Jessica had a very successful career on the Commodities desk and was a co-head of Morgan Stanley’s Commodities’ solar business.

Jessica is an active volunteer in the New Canaan community. She was the President of the East Elementary School Parent Teacher Council. Prior to taking on the President role, she served as the East PTC’s Treasurer. She has held Board level positions within the Young Women’s League of New Canaan and the Newcomers Club of New Canaan. Currently, Jessica serves as the equipment manager for the New Canaan Football Club and Aquatics Co-Chair at the New Canaan Field Club. Jessica and her family have also been a Fresh Air Fund host family.

This 4 years of active service within one of the NCPS schools, along with attendance at most BOE Meetings and budget cycle hearings with the Town Council and Board of Finance, has given her the experience required to understand the issues and serve the town in the best interests of the children. She has been an engaged and active participant in the schools and therefore has the knowledge required to successfully serve New Canaan on its Board of Education.
