August 17, 2021 – Special Election for District 36

Due to the resignation of Alex Kasser, the 36th state senate district had a special election on August 17, 2021 to fill this vacancy. We are overjoyed to announce that the Republican candidate, Ryan Fazio, won the election together with his NC team led by our own Maria Dezse Weingarten who spearheaded the NC grassroots efforts. A change is coming! We worked hard and appreciate your support, and your votes.
A message from Ryan:
Yesterday, I was honored to be sworn in as state senator for my home district. I am proud to represent a wonderful community with good people. And while our state faces immense challenges, I am confident that with a positive change to our state government that Connecticut can succeed in the future like never before.
I will always be grateful for the trust that the people of Greenwich, Stamford, and New Canaan have placed in me and I will work hard every day to justify it by making our district and state a better place to live, work, and raise a family. I am excited for the positive things we can do together and am ready to get to work for our district.
